Carbon Sinks don't sink!

• The word ‘bumblebee’ is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word ‘bumble’ means to hum, buzz, drone, or move ineptly or floundering.
• Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).
• Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90% percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.
• Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 50 times as much work as a normal honeybee.
• The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including the removal of wild flowers, and flowering trees from the landscape, habitat loss, the mechanisation of agriculture, and extensive use of pesticides.

To work this out, I would use 7x5 = 35, so 35 days it would take for all the mould to be removed. So, in months, depending of the month, it would be a month or 5 days, or a month and 4 days, which is 4 weeks and 4/5 days.

Burning up...

It can get very hot in New Zealand, but in some other countries, it gets very very hot in places like Dallol (Ethiopia), Dasht-e Loot (Iran), Tirat Zvi (Israel), Kabili (Tunisia), and Bandar-e Mahshahr (Iran).

You are my sunshine

Summer is a great time of year, but it's also very hot, and can be dangerous!

Here are 5 things we can do to protect ourselves from the sun:

• Always be sure to wear a hat, because you can also be sun burnt on cloudy and grey day!
• Put on clothing that covers your skin.
• Put on a teaspoon of sunscreen on your head, neck, each limb, and the front and back of your body.
• Wear clothing that covers your skin!
  
• Wear wide brimmed hats, or bucket hats that completely cover your head!

A heated debate: Togs or Trackies?

Summer or Winter? I personally think summer is better for tourists in New Zealand, because in my opinion the activities are more fun, like this summer my family and our family friends are going to Cape Waihoanga, because we do that every year for 2-3 day at the start of January. 

While in New Zealand in summer, you could:

• Go on Jet Skis Queenstown
• Relax by the beach!
• Ride up to Bobs Peak in the gondola
• Go skydiving in Taupo
